Front AR, 2017

Geolocation-based, custom augmented reality (AR) application (developed in Unity), computer generated images and interactive components, video

Looking through the augmented reality app on his/her phone allows the user to see virtual interventions overlaid on the real space of the Bromo District in downtown Baltimore. The project examines the impending gentrification of the neighborhood.

The augmented reality components were simulated in a virtual space, created by embedding the objects in a 3-D map of the Bromo district. This computer “game” was installed for the gallery opening allowing viewer to virtually explore the neighborhood and the work.
